Nawal's work is made individually by her using techniques that include fabric manipulation and printing to produce very sculptural 3D pieces. She uses a variety of silks silk-metallics velvets and translucent manmade fabrics. She draws inspiration from natural and geometric forms Japanese shibori and paper-folding. She puts her own interpretations and innovations in her work and she's always thinking of new techniques and designs. Her aim to create a new design for each exhibition so that her work stays fresh.
She has been selected as an exhibitor for prestigious craft fairs in Britain and the United States. She also sells her scarves to renowened galleries and museum shops throughout the world.
