Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust
The Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust (QEST) is a charity which funds the training and education of talented and aspiring craftspeople, supporting the UK's cultural heritage and sustaining vital skills in traditional and contemporary crafts. QEST offers grants of up to £18,000 towards formal education, apprenticeships and one-to-one training with a master craftsperson. Since the charity was formed in 1990, more than £6million has been awarded to almost 800 individuals working across the UK in 130 different craft disciplines.
This year, the innovative work of five QEST Alumni is exhibited, representing crafts such as leather work, basketry, printmaking, hand weaving and furniture making. Each maker’s work brings a unique perspective of their craft, creating an immersive showcase.
